Need to upload updated version
What is a “Published” Cap Table?
When managing your cap table in altshare, you work in Draft Mode by default - this is your internal working version where you can make changes freely without exposing data externally.
Once you’re confident that all the data is accurate - share classes, transactions and stakeholders - you can publish the cap table.
This marks the current version as the official ownership record of the company.
Publishing is how you transition from internal setup to controlled external visibility.
Why Use the Publish Mechanism?
- Separate work-in-progress from official data
Keep drafts internal while reviewing or cleaning up data. - Control timing
Only share when you're ready - nothing is exposed by accident. - Enable stakeholder access
Publishing is required to share the cap table with external users - investors, lawyers, board members, or other stakeholders: - Stay always up to date
The published version becomes your single source of truth.
t stays synced with other modules like Equity Plans, so stakeholders always see the most current and accurate version - no manual updates, no confusion.
