How to Manually Update a New Funding Round
Altshare’s cap table module allows you to manage shareholder data, issue transactions, and update funding rounds easily and securely.
Step 1: Add a Share Class (Funding Round)
- In the cap table, click the ➕ Class button
- Enter the funding round details:
- Name of the round
- Round date
- Number of issued shares
- Price per share (PPS)
- Investment amount
- Optional settings (e.g., Anti-dilution, Conversion, etc.)
Step 2: Add Shareholders
To add a new stakeholder:
- Click the ➕ Shareholder button (top-left corner)
- Select:
- Person, or
- Legal Entity
- Enter the stakeholder’s details
Step 3: Add Transactions
Once the share class and shareholders are set, assign shares via transactions:
- Open the relevant stakeholder profile
- Scroll to Transactions
- Click Add Transaction
Issue Shares Under a Funding Round
- Transaction type: Issue
- Asset class: Select the relevant share class
Enter:
- Number of shares
Other details (such as price and date) are automatically pulled from the selected share class.
Tip: Make sure your share class (funding round) is fully defined before issuing shares, so all transactions are correctly linked and reflected in the cap table.
