The last three rows in the cap table- which display equity option data- are automatically synced from the Equity Plans module.
This means:
- You cannot edit these values directly in the cap table
- Any updates must be made in the Equity Plans module
To manage or update option data, please refer to the Equity Plans guide
What Do the Option Values Mean?
In the cap table’s options section, you’ll see the following:
- Exercised Options
Options that have been exercised and converted into shares - Outstanding Options
Options that have been granted but not yet exercised or cancelled - Unallocated Options
Options that remain available in the option pool and have not yet been granted
Note: Because this data is synced automatically, your cap table always reflects the most up-to-date option status- ensuring consistency across your equity management workflows.
Optional Workaround for Displaying Option Data
If needed, you can manually reflect option data directly in the cap table:
- Add a new shareholder row (e.g., “ESOP” or “Options Pool”)
- Enter the relevant option amounts
- Record them either as:
- Common shares, or
- In a designated options column (if applicable)
Note: This is a display workaround only. For accurate tracking and management, option data should be maintained in the Equity Plans module, which automatically syncs with the cap table.
